Financial Post biz journalist McLeod set to depart

James McLeod, a business journalist at Canada-based Financial Post, will be leaving the organization to take a job outside of journalism. As a business reporter at Financial Post, McLeod covered technology, innovation, startups and digital security.

Previously, he was a political reporter at The Telegram.

Additionally, McLeod has also worked at Medium, Politico, National Post, Vancouver Sun, Calgary Herald, Canada.com, Ottawa Citizen, Windsor Star, Edmonton Journal and more.

He is also the past winner of the Atlantic Journalism Awards’ Jim MacNeill New Journalist Award.

McLeod holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ryerson University.
