Previously, Fernandez was a Capitol reporter at Spotlight PA. She has also served as a regionals co-op correspondent, then as a metro correspondent, and then as a research assistant at Boston Globe Media.
She has also worked at Muckrock and has interned at El Nuevo Dia, New England Center for Investigative Reporting, WBUR, Boston Magazine and MuckRock.
She was also a writer at The Daily Free Press and BU News Service.
She was also a radio DJ at WTBU.
Fernandez holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University.
