Previously, she was a health care news intern at Bloomberg News. She was also an elections reporter at The 9th Street Journal in Durham, North Carolina, and has interned at The Tampa Bay Times and the Center for the Study of Social Policy in Washington D.C. Metro Area.
Torrence graduated from Duke University, where she also worked at the student paper.
