Fierce Biotech hires Armstrong as a senior editor

Annalee Armstrong

Annalee Armstrong has joined Fierce Biotech as senior editor, where she will be covering the drug development process, business development and emerging technologies in biotech.

She previously was an associate editor on S&P Global Market Intelligence’s health care desk.

Armstrong get her start at small daily newspapers across Western Canada, chasing sled dogs and other stories as a sports editor, general assignment reporter and photojournalist. She began her career in business journalism in 2014 as the EPA reporter for S&P’s energy desk.

She has won two AZBEE awards for her reporting and editing work on long form and investigative journalism.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
