Fast Company launches Chinese edition

Business magazine Fast Company and Chinese media conglomerate 21st Century Media Corp. have partnered to launch Fast Company China.

Fast Company China magazine, which has obtained legal approval from the Chinese government, has a target circulation of 164,000.

The magazine will also have a website (fastcompany.cn) and a mobile application. Additionally, sponsored networking events are being planned for the Chinese market in the near future.

“Fast Company’s coverage highlights the challenges of a rapidly changing global marketplace and the positive impact that innovation can have across all sectors, in all kinds of conditions,” says Robert Safian, editor of Fast Company, in a statement. “We are excited to share our perspective with a new community of businesspeople, and our in-depth discussions with 21st Century Media, over many months, showed them to be of a similar mind. We couldn’t be more enthusiastic about this partnership.”

21st Century Media Corp. also publishes the Chinese edition of Forbes.
