Emily Fancher of the San Francisco Business Times is leaving the paper to become deputy metro editor of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Her last day at the Business Times is Friday.
“The past 13 years have been a great adventure,” said Fancher on Twitter. “We’ve had a lot fun over the years. Thanks to the amazing news team for always supporting me.”
Fancher has been the deputy managing editor at the Business Times since January 2014. She worked with a team of seven reporters on story planning, editing, source development and beat-building.
She also led the paper’s real estate coverage, including working with real estate reporters on daily web stories as well as weekly print stories.
Fancher was also a senior reporter at the Business Times. She also worked at the San Francisco Examiner and San Mateo County Times.
