Facebook hiring for upcoming “News Tab”

Facebook executives are apparently hiring journalists to curate a forthcoming “News Tab”. Facebook’s aim is to restore the credibility of the news that is often offered in users’ feeds. The project is also reportedly a personal passion of Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, who wants to help improve relationships with publishers.

A News Tab test will be rolled out in October to 200,000 users. Facebook plans to roll out News Tab to all U.S. users by early 2020.
