Former senior correspondent at BuzzFeed News Emily Ashton will be joining Bloomberg News covering British politics.
Her new role begins in August.
Ashton said on Twitter, “So excited to be part of this stellar lobby team.”
Previously, Ashton was chair of the Parliamentary lobby at House of Commons. She has also served as a Whitehall correspondent at The Sun and was at the Press Association for more than five years where she held the posts of multimedia reporter, political reporter and chief Parliamentary reporter.
Ashton is a graduate of University of Durham and holds a postgraduate diploma in newspaper journalism from City University.
