Amy Resnick, the former editor in chief of Bond Buyer, has been hired at Thomson Reuters to be editor of IFR Americas. IFR stands for International Financing Review.
In her new role, Resnick will run the regional news file, act as ambassador for IFR with senior market professionals and help IFR broaden its presence in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
IFR is published weekly in print and on the web and provides coverage of developments in global financing markets, including analysis of all international bond, syndicated loan, leveraged finance, high-yield debt, emerging market, equity and convertible issues, as well as developments in the derivatives market.
It is read by major banks, brokers, investors, corporate and government borrowers.
Resnick joined Thomson Reuters on Monday in New York from her role as editor in chief of The Bond Buyer, and after a decade running the journal of record for the $2.8 trillion U.S. municipal bond market.
Before becoming Bond Buyer’s first female editor in 2000, Resnick worked as its managing editor, federal tax reporter, and as a regional reporter covering the fiscal crisis in the District of Columbia.
Before joining The Bond Buyer, she worked for the Fairfax Journal in Virginia. She has also covered state and local government political and financial issues for publications in New York and Massachusetts.
