European edition of Bloomberg Business website launches

Nate Lanxon, a senior editor at Bloomberg in London, writes about the launch of the European edition of the Bloomberg Business website.

Lanxon writes, “This website is the result of months of hard work and cross-platform collaboration between thousands of Bloomberg staff – journalists, developers, video producers, television talent and photographers. We wanted to create a new destination for European business news readers. That ambition demanded a fresh approach to publishing that draws on Bloomberg’s existing global reach and expertise.

“Bloomberg Business Europe has a dedicated team of local editors based within the newsroom at our European headquarters in London. They work in the heart of Europe’s financial capital, giving readers immediate access to the best of Bloomberg’s lightning-fast, multi-platform journalism. Within the EMEA region that means access to more than 850 business reporters, analysts and economists within 62 bureaus. Globally that reach is even greater: Bloomberg has 2,400 journalists in 150 bureaus across 73 countries.

“With millions of visitors each month to Bloomberg.com in EMEA alone we already have a huge audience trusting us to deliver critical news and analysis. We’ve now built an integrated, pan-European digital newsroom combining powerful text journalism with the best of Bloomberg TV. With teams producing data visualisations and digital video live and on demand — all optimised for a demanding mobile-first world – we want our audiences to think of Bloomberg Business at the start, the middle and the end of each day.”
