Entrepreneur announces promotions, staff hires

Ray Hennessey, the editorial director at Entrepreneur, sent out the following staff change email:

I am pleased to announce a number of promotions and new staff additions to our online team as we position ourselves to take advantage of our recent growth.

Andrea Huspeni is being promoted to Articles Editor, a new position. In that role, Andrea will shepherd copy across all of our content areas, assisting with story flow for daily news, as well as contributor content and special projects. As all of you know, Andrea’s skill and attitude couple to make her ideally suited for this task, and our craft will be better for it.

I’m also very happy to promote Catherine Clifford to Senior Writer. Cat is the brain and heart of our organization, and this promotion recognizes the quality and consistency of her fine work. She will also serve as a great mentor as we add more staff writers to our mix.

Finally, on the promotion front, Laura Entis has been named a staff writer. Laura has become an integral part of our organization, through her work as our intern during her time in NYU’s graduate program. We are thrilled that she has decided to stay with us full-time.

Now, for the new hires. Steven Bronner will be joining us as Contributors Editor, replacing Jane Porter. Steven comes to us from AOL’s Patch, where he has been a local editor for several years. We hope he can build on Jane’s pioneering work in fostering our contributors network. Jane leaves us to focus on her true love, fiction writing. I want to personally thank her for taking ownership of our contributors and helping us position that area for success.

Tanya Klich will join us as Data/Lists Editor, a new position. Tanya comes to us from Privcap, which creates content on the private-equity industry. Prior to that, she had stints with Thomson Reuters and FOX Business Network.

Finally, Nina Zipkin will be joining us as Editorial Assistant, a new position. Nina comes to us after a stint as a fellow at The Huffington Post. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr.

Cat and Laura will continue to report to Lauren Covello. Andrea, Steven, Tanya and Nina will report to Jason Fell.

Please join me in wishing everyone success in their new roles. Stay tuned for more hiring announcements in the coming weeks.
