Enterpreneur doubles Twitter followers in one year

Business magazine Enterpreneur has doubled its Twitter followers in the past year and recently surpassed 1 million followers.

A year ago, its Twitter feed had about 540,000 followers.

Ray Hennessey, the editorial director at Entrepreneur, wrote to Talking Biz News:

Essentially, it’s a validation of the work we’ve been doing. It has been a strong march higher for almost two years now, and we really have the best audience in business news. Smart, innovative, successful. We don’t buy Twitter followers (as you can tell by my woeful few followers personally) so it is all organic.

These kinds of metrics can be deceiving, but I’m really proud of this one. It suggests our audience is engaged. We are in the sweet spot of the American psyche now. People look up to entrepreneurs. They want to be entrepreneurs. They want to learn from other entrepreneurs. It’s great to be a part of this growth.
