Eisen hired as WSJ markets reporter

Ben Eisen, who worked at Bloomberg News for the past 15 months covering structured products, has been hired by The Wall Street Journal to cover the markets.

His first day is Monday.

On Twitter, Eisen wrote, “It was a great ride working with brilliant ppl at Bloomberg.”

Eisen previously worked for MarketWatch.com for 21 months covering the capital markets. Before that, he worked as a senior reporter at Debtwire covering municipal finance, budgeting, distress, and bankruptcy nationwide.

He also worked as a research analyst at the Corporate Executive Board. He’s a Cornell University graduate.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
