Amir Efrati
The Information senior reporter Amir Efrati has been named the tech publication’s executive editor.
He will work with editor in chief Jessica Lessin and managing editor Martin Peers on helping the staff produce scoops and in-depth features.
Efrati has been with The Information since it started in late 2013. He previously worked at The Wall Street Journal, where he covered Google.
Before that, he wrote for The Journal about the Justice Department, federal courts and white-collar crime for the Journal, where he broke news of numerous financial fraud probes, led the paper’s coverage of the Bernard Madoff fraud, and saw his work cited by federal judges.
His 2007 front-page article on the surprisingly troubled legal job market forced some law schools to change their shady marketing practices and, more importantly, helped convince some college graduates not to attend law school.
Efrati is a gradate of the University of Iowa.
