John Edwards has been named team leader for U.S. consumer coverage at Bloomberg News.
He will start his new job on July 1.
Edwards has been an editor on the global business editing team, focused on entertainment/media, and serving as a slot editor for the group.
He started with Bloomberg in 2017 as an editor on the European consumer/health team in Geneva.
Edwards previously held several editing positions with The Wall Street Journal in New York and London, from 2000 to 2017, culminating with deputy business editor for EMEA.
He previously worked at TheStreet.com, the Times of Trenton, NJ, Dow Jones Newswires and BNA.
Edwards is a graduate of Northwestern University.
