John Hughes, an editor for Bloomberg News’ First Word service, is leaving that spot to become an editor at Bloomberg BNA.
Hughes will be a senior editor on the technology and privacy team.
Hughes has been with Bloomberg since December 2000, first as an auto and transportation reporter. He joined the First Word service in 2010 as an editor for First Word DC, a real-time news and analysis feed about U.S. government, politics and companies.
He’s a past president of the National Press Club and also spent four years with the Associated Press in its Detroit and Washington bureaus.
