Durham paper hires new business reporter

Zachery Eanes

Zachery Eanes has been hired as a business reporter at The Herald-Sun in Durham, North Carolina.

He replaces Alex Dixon, who left to work for restaurant magazines QSR and FSR in Chapel Hill.

“I am excited to join the staff at The Herald-Sun,” said Eanes in an email to Talking Biz News. “Durham is a vibrant and diverse city with many stories to chase. I hope to do great work here.”

Eanes is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in business journalism. He interned at the Washington Business Journal during the summer and at the Wilmington Business Journal in North Carolina during the Summer 2015.

He also worked at The Daily Tar Heel student newspaper while in college.

  • Zach isn't the business reporter The Herald-Sun wants, he is the business reporter The Herald-Sun needs. I look forward to all of his contributions.
