Gintautas Dumcius, the digital editor of the Boston Business Journal, has left the news organization.
Dumcius is becoming managing editor of the Dorchester Reporter newspaper, which covers the Boston community.
He has been at the Business Journal since January 2019. Dumcius previously worked at MassLive.com as a multimedia reporter covering the Boston area. Before that, he was a reporter for the State House News Service. He covered the 2013 race to replace the late Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and published an e-book, “This Way to City Hall.”
He previously worked at the Reporter from 201o to 2014 as its news editor. And he freelanced for the paper before that.
