Draznin joins Real Vision as reporter/producer

Haley Draznin

Real Vision has hired Haley Draznin as a reporter/producer.

She spent nine years as a reporter and producer for CNN. She worked closely with Newsroom anchor Poppy Harlow covering political and business news across all platforms. Haley’s work at CNN includes coverage of the 2020 and 2016 presidential elections where she produced live shows ahead of the political conventions and debates, and international breaking news coverage out of London in the aftermath of the Brexit vote.

She was nominated for two 2019 Emmys for outstanding coverage of a breaking news story in a newscast for CNN Newsroom New York bomb evacuation & outstanding breaking news coverage for CNN International Yemen school bus bombing.

She has produced interviews with some of the most successful CEOs and leaders around the world including Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Hillary Clinton, Ivanka Trump, Starbucks Chairman Howard Schultz, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, Richard Branson, Diane von Furstenberg, Melinda Gates, among others.

She launched the CNN Business podcast and digital series’ “Boss Files with Poppy Harlow,” which profiles leaders at the top of their industries and their initiatives to level the playing field, strengthen diversity, and close the opportunity gap.

Her business reporting focuses on women in the workplace, corporate culture, careers and management, executive leadership, and the future of work. As a multimedia journalist, her work appears across all CNN platforms: television, digital, podcast and social.

Draznin first joined CNN in Atlanta as an intern for the documentary unit in 2011, and has risen through the ranks at the network. Previous roles include time as a production assistant on Newsroom with Carol Costello and At This Hour with John Berman and Kate Bolduan, and as a news assistant for New York’s general assignment desk.

Draznin holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and journalism from Emory University.
