Scott Morrison, a tech reporter for Dow Jones Newswires in San Francisco for the past three-and-a-half years, has left the news service.
In a goodbye e-mail to his co-workers, Morrison wrote, “I wanted to take a moment to let you know that I’m moving on from Dow Jones. I’ve been extremely fortunate to have had the chance to work with many of you over the past 3.5 years and I’d like to thank you for making my time here at DJN a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
“Newswires has not yet named a new Internet reporter, but SF bureau chief Andrew Morse will be directing traffic in the interim.”
Before joining Dow Jones, Morrison was a senior editor at Red Herring from June 2006 to October 2007.
Prior to that, he spent nearly nine years at the Financial Times. He was a tech correspondent from June 2001 to December 2005. And before that, he reported as a Canada correspondent from March 1997 to June 2001.
He also did a stint as a Mexico correspondent for Knight Ridder Financial News.
