Stephen Wright has been hired as a publishing editor for Dow Jones Newswires in Wellington, New Zealand.
He returns to Dow Jones after more than a decade in various roles for the Associated Press in Asia, mostly recently a regional reporter based in Jakarta.
Wright is a former Asia business editor for AP and Thailand and Vietnam bureau chief for Dow Jones Newswires. His journalism has been recognized several times by his peers, including as a finalist in the investigative reporting category at the 2018 SOPA awards.
He enjoys running, working out, reading nonfiction, eating Southeast Asian street food and drinking red wine.
