TALKING BIZ NEWS EXCLUSIVE
The following e-mail was sent Wednesday to Dow Jones Newswires staff members by Rick Stine, senior editor of the Americas:
“Terry Wooten, currently managing editor of commodities, is leaving Dow Jones. We thank Terry for his service here as well as when he oversaw the editorial group of the joint venture Oster-Dow Jones. Grainne McCarthy had been managing editor of energy but recently became markets editor for WSJ.com and Newswires.
“Steve has a varied editorial background that makes him well suited for his new role. He most recently has been deputy managing editor for Dow Jones News Service here in New York, overseeing our markets reporting and the monitoring and rewrite desks. Before that, he was Chicago bureau chief, leading coverage of transportation and exchanges, among other industries. He joined Dow Jones in 1997 as a reporter in Sao Paulo and moved on to become Brazil bureau chief. Steve later came to Jersey City to write about emerging markets and eventually lead our coverage.”
