Luca Di Leo, a senior economics reporter for Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal, is leaving the news organization to return to Italy.
“Starting next month, I’ll be heading the press office of Italian food company Barilla, based in Parma.”
Di Leo has worked for Dow Jones since October 2009 in Washington, focusing on the U.S. economy and the Federal Reserve. Before that, he was Rome bureau chief for Dow Jones from August 2006 to September 2009.
Di Leo also worked for five years as a correspondent for Dow Jones in Italy, covering key Italian companies including oil and gas giant Eni SpA, utility Enel SpA, and defense company Finmeccanica SpA.
He also worked for Reuters from June 1997 to January 2001 in London.
