Lou Dobbs, the former CNN business news anchor who is moving to Fox Business Network, made his first appearance on Fox Thursday evening on Neil Cavuto‘s 6 p.m. show.
Here is a transcript of the beginning:
Cavuto: “Who better to drive home the point than one of the founding drivers of all things financial news? Lou Dobbs. Ring a bell? You might have seen him once or twice…and in a little more than a month, you’ll be seeing him a heck of a lot more. Here on Fox Business.
Because the CNN founding anchor and the guy Ted Turner calls a friend, which could be a mixed blessing, we now call our friend. Which we never would have said if he were still there, but like I said, Lou’s not there, he wised up. So we locked down and he’s chomping at the bit to talk about a subject that marries his two biggest loves – big stock offerings and, I guess, big government. Today, kind of at a weird big crossroad.”
Dobbs: “Absolutely”
Cavuto: “Lou, welcome.”
Dobbs: “Great to be with you and thank you so much. Look forward to working here and we’ll have a lot of fun.”
