Brian Morrissey, the editor and president at Digiday, is leaving the company at the end of the month.
“I’m proud we built a global brand based on honesty with a sustainable business — and expanded into new areas with Glossy and Modern Retail,” he wrote on Twitter. “Digiday is a great company with great people.”
Morrissey said he plans to start a newsletter on the rebooting of media.
He has been at Digiday since March 2011, running the the audience side of the business, including editorial, memberships, product development, creative, multimedia and events programming. He previously was the digital editor at Adweek, where he covered the digital advertising industry for six years.
He also worked at DM News and Silicon Alley Reporter.
