Ian Thibodeau, who has been working as a reporter for MLive.com, has been hired as a reporter on the Detroit News business desk.

We’re happy to announce two additions to the Local staff today, one new and one familiar:
Ian Thibodeau (TIH-ba-doe) joins the Local desk as a business reporter on June 13. Ian has been covering Detroit business for MLive Detroit. He brings two years of experience at MLive, plus internships a Kenosha, Wis., and Hour Detroit Magazine. He’s a graduate of Divine Child High School and the University of Detroit Mercy, where he was co-editor of the campus newspaper. He also has the notable distinction of having previous experience as a Zamboni driver.
MLive.com is the largest online news organization in Michigan, and Detroit is one of the group’s fastest-growing hubs.
