The Detroit Free Press has hired Chanel Stitt as a business reporter.
She will be covering minority businesses, entrepreneurs and nonprofits.
Stitt has been reporting trending and breaking news for the Free Press as an intern this summer. She previously was interning for MLive.
She is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where she was managing editor and then editor in chief of The Michigan Journal.
