Tara Deschamps has been hired as a business reporter for the Canadian Press.
She will start in early 2018.
Deschamps has worked off and on for the Toronto Star for the past three years in a variety of positions.
She has also been a freelance writer since 2012 and has been published in the Star, Metro News, Maclean’s, and the Globe and Mail, writing about everything from city news to entertainment, life and business stories. She also wrote a weekly real estate series for the New York Times called On the Market – Toronto and a Women on Boards series for Metro detailing the lack of female representation.
Deschamps also wrote a monthly series for the Toronto Star on the intersection of real estate and personal finance.
She is a Ryerson University graduate in journalism.
