Deputy biz editor Das departs WSJ

Anupreeta Das

Anupreeta Das, deputy business editor at The Wall Street Journal since 2017, has left the news organization.

Her last day was Monday.

“It’s been a decade of immense growth and learning, incredible friendships and opportunities, thrills and fun. I can only hope that I gave back — in some small measure — to an organization that nurtured me so,” she wrote in a farewell email to her colleagues. “Thank you for everything.”

Das  joined the Journal in 2010 to cover deals, and proceeded to break news of many of the biggest mergers in the post-financial-crisis era. She went on to cover Warren Buffett and Berkshire Hathaway and also revitalized our coverage of the global rich. She has also been on the enterprise team, where she has co-authored a formidable series on family offices and another on the joys of chickens.

Before joining the Journal, Das covered tech, media and telecom deals for Reuters.

She holds graduate degrees from Boston University and the London School of Economics, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Delhi.
