Demetriadi joins The Economist Group as sub-editor

Alexi Demetriadi

Alexi Demetriadi has joined The Economist Group as a sub-editor at The Economist Intelligence Unit.

He also works as a freelance sub-editor and was previously a sub-editor and copywriter at Twinkl Educational Publishing. He has also worked on the editorial staff team and was a journalist, and social media officer at Southeast Asia Globe.

He was also a sub-editor at Focus – Ready for Tomorrow. He has also worked freelance for Saigoneer, AltMedia Pty Limited, Morning Star, NK News, Lacuna Magazine and The Diplomat.

He was a digital news editor at Insurance Business Australia and an editor and reporter at ESCXTRA. Demetriadi was also a travel writer at Medium and a journalist at the New Internationalist and Bangkok Post.

He has also worked as a politics and travel writer at Pi Media.

Demetriadi is a graduate of UCL.
