The deadline is approaching for fall applications for The McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism, a new initiative of the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism designed to support ambitious coverage of critical issues related to U.S. business and the economy.
The Fellowships provide up to $15,000 to experienced journalists to do the deep reporting needed to produce a distinguished investigative, enterprise or narrative business story.
Here are the details:
- Each Fellow receives $5,000 a month for up to three months
- Open to both freelance and staff journalists with five years experience
- No residency required; McGraw Fellows work from their own offices
- The McGraw Center provides editorial support and help with placement where needed
McGraw Fellowships are awarded twice a year, in spring and fall. The upcoming deadline to apply is Dec. 15, 2014.
