Agnieszka de Sousa has been named global food czar at Bloomberg News, succeeding Millie Munshi.
“Excited to work even more with our journalists all over the world, telling food stories that delve into agriculture, trade, climate, politics, retail, tech & much more,” she wrote on Twitter.
The news service has been appointing staffers to oversee global coverage of industries. Last week, Craig Trudell was named global autos czar.
De Sousa has been a food and agriculture correspondent in London for Bloomberg since October 2016. She previously was a metals and mining reporter.
She previously was an assistant editor for European metals at Platts. She also worked at Euromoney Institutional Investor covering exchange-traded derivatives markets.
De Sousa holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Arts London and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
