Olivia Barrow, the senior reporter at the Dayton Business Journal, is leaving the paper and moving to Milwaukee.
Barrow writes, “In three years at the Dayton Business Journal I’ve never had as much trouble starting a story as this one.
“Today is my last day here, and there’s just too much to say about what I’ve learned since starting here.
“I’m so thankful to all of the incredibly patient sources who were always available to explain the basics of lease terms, tax increment financing, lending standards, retirement plans, the Affordable Care Act and so many other complicated topics that I had to learn how to cover, starting fresh out of college. Journalism is an amazing career because you get to be a lifelong student, learning directly from the top experts in any field.”
