Daniel Schafer is now German bureau chief at Bloomberg

Daniel Schafer

Daniel Schafer has assumed the role of German bureau chief at Bloomberg News.

Schafer previously worked for over four years as the finance editor and Frankfurt bureau chief at Handelsblatt. Handelsblatt is one of the most well-known German-language business newspapers.

Prior to his role at Handelsblatt, Schafer worked for the Financial Times.

He was an investment banking correspondent from March 2012 to December 2014, and also worked as a private equity correspondent for the company from May 2011 to February 2012.

Schafer graduated from the University of Hohenheim.
