Rob Schneider, a designer at the Dallas Morning News, has been hired as creative director of the Dallas Business Journal.
Charles Apple writes, “A 1995 graduate of Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., Rob began his career as a designer and sports editor for the St. Joseph (Mo.) News-Press. He moved to the Omaha World-Herald in 1998 and then to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 1999 to become weekend sports editor.
“He moved to the Morning News in 2003 as design editor for sports. He was promoted to presentation director in 2006. He redesigned the Morning News in 2008 and the Providence Journal in 2009.
“In addition, Rob was president of the Society for News Design last year.”
