Dallas Business Journal editor Jeffrey Schnick sent out the following announcement:
We’re thrilled to announce another addition to our newsroom with the hiring of Kylee Gilkeson as Lead Designer.
A native of Northern Indiana and 2013 graduate of Ball State, Kylee has been the Lead Designer at the Tampa Bay Business Journal since June 2015. During that time she has elevated Tampa Bay’s visual journalism with her creative flair and attention to detail. Her specialties include designing photo or graphic-intensive packages and creating illustrations, all skills that will serve her well in Dallas.
Kylee joins our team at a critical juncture, with two large journalism projects on tap for this year that will require her expertise. She will report to Managing Editor-Events Rob Schneider, but will work closely with our reporting staff as well on a consistent basis in planning meetings and more.
Her first day will be June 17.
She previously worked for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune with internships at The Virginian Pilot and The Tampa Bay Times.
