The Hill campaign editor Will Sommer has been hired by The Daily Beast to cover tech and digital culture.
He will start his new job in mid-June and remain at The Hill, where he has worked since December 2016, for another week.
Sommer is best known for his newsletter Right Richter about conservative media. Before The Hill, he was a staff writer, senior editor and politics editor for Washington City Paper. He also was a local editor for Patch in Kingstowne, Virginia.
He studied international politics at Georgetown University.
