D.C.-based reporter Gold leaving The Information

Ashley Gold, a Washington-based reporter covering technology policy for The Information, is leaving the organization.

As per her tweet, she will be working freelance covering topics like tech, health care, congress and general assignment.

Previously, she was working as a technology reporter at Politico covering congressional news for its pro team. She also served as e-health reporter at the company.

In addition, Gold has worked at BBC as a U.S. news writer covering online, breaking news and features. She was also an associate editor at Fierce Markets.

Gold also served as metro reporter at The Reading Eagle and also held the posts of opinion page editor and metro desk intern at The Daily Collegian and The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, respectively.

Gold has a degree in journalism from Penn State University.
