Jim Finkle, who has been cybsersecurity editor at Reuters, has left the news organization for a job outside of journalism.
Finkle is is now director of social media and influencer strategy at cybersecurity company Palo Alto Networks.
In a farewell email last week to his Reuters colleagues, Finkle wrote:
It’s been a privilege to work for such a great news organization. I’ve learned lots, had a lot of fun and made great friends over the past 13 years.
I’m starting a new job outside of journalism and hope it will be as rewarding as my experience with Reuters.
I’ll be working in NYC through October, then moving to Boston to be closer to family. Please stay in touch.
Finkle had been cybersecurity editor since April 2017 and a reporter covering cybersecurity from July 2015 to March 2017. He briefly left Reuters in 2015 to be communications director for Cylance Inc.
He also worked as a tech reporter for the Orange County Register and at Bloomberg News for eight years.
