CyberScoop’s Vavra joins Daily Beast as a national security reporter

Shannon Vavra

The Daily Beast has tapped Shannon Vavra as a national security reporter covering cybersecurity, along with a focus on national security and intelligence coverage.

Her new role begins later this month.

Currently, Vavra is a cybersecurity reporter at CyberScoop. Before that, she was a news reporter at Axios and has also interned at the U.S. Department of State.

Her work has been featured in Business Insider, Insider, Springer and more.

Vavra is a graduate of Tufts University, where she was editor of the student newspaper.
