Cramer to Fox Business? “Highly unlikely”

Jim Cramer, the host of “Mad Money” on CNBC, responded on Twitter Friday to rumors about him moving to Fox Business Network, saying it was “highly unlikley.”

A Marketwatch.com story noted, “The longtime CNBC host was fired from Fox News in 2000 after a contract dispute.

“Fox Business denied the former hedge fund manager and best-selling author would be joining its team.

“‘There are no discussions at this time with Jim Cramer,’ said an FBN spokesperson.

“There is no word on whether Cramer’s contract is up at CNBC, which he’s called home since 2005. CNBC did not respond to a request for comment.

“Cramer celebrated the 2,000th episode of ‘Mad Money with Jim Cramer’ last year.

“The feisty TV host has had less than pleasant things to say about Fox Business in the past. Take, for example, this comment from 2007 when the network launched:

“‘I had the choice of watching a rival business channel or getting a root canal,’ Cramer said.  ‘And I chose the root canal.'”
