Cramer looked stunned

David Zurawik of the Baltimore Sun writes about his impressions after watching “Mad Money” host Jim Cramer on “The Daily Show” being interviewed by Jon Stewart.

Zurawik writes, “As if Cramer’s words were not damning enough, the film itself was dark, and Cramer looked downright sinister. The host of Mad Money was clearly stunned to see that film surface on-air last night.

“Stewart called for several segments of the film to be played as he went on to accuse Cramer and CNBC of presenting one view of the economy to the public while they clearly knew that another, crooked high-flying game was being played ‘in the backroom’ by the Wall Street traders and CEOs. And they were playing that dirty game, Stewart charged, with citizens’ pensions and 401K accounts.

“Stewart again used harsh profanity to express how angry that fundamental dishonesty by Cramer and CNBC made him. ‘They burned the (expletive) house down with our money and then walked away rich as (expletive),’ he said as the audience broke into wild applause.”
