Crain's to start business newspaper in England

Crain Communications Inc., which publishes weekly business newspapers in cities such as Chicago, Cleveland and New York, will go across the Atlantic and launch a newspaper in Manchester, England, according to a report on How-Do, a British media web site.

The web site reported, “Crain Comms Inc said that: ‘Crain’s Manchester Business, a new local weekly business newspaper, will be modeled on the established and successful model found throughout America.

“‘Crain’s Manchester Business will bring breaking local business news to the Greater Manchester area for c-level executives, senior management, and small business owners.’

“It is believed that the Manchester publication will be the test bed for further city launches in the UK.”
