Crain’s New York names Curtin its new publisher

Tom Curtin, a veteran of New York business journalism, has been named publisher of Crain’s New York Business.

A story on its website states, “His appointment, effective today, was announced by Mary Kramer, group publisher at Crain Communications. ‘New York deserves a visible leader,’ Kramer said, ‘someone who can leverage the talent and strengths across our departments and help us grow both in reputation and revenue.’

“Curtin most recently served as publisher of NJ Biz, where his tenure was marked by significant growth in revenue, paid subscribers and new event strategies. He previously was publisher of American Banker and The Bond Buyer.

“‘I am excited to be working with the entire Crain’s team producing the premier business journals in the country,’ Curtin said.”
