Crain’s New York has hired Maya Kaufman to cover health care.
She will start later this month.
Kaufman has been working at Patch New York since February 2019 covering Astoria, Long Island City, Forest Hills and Bayside. Her reporting has been picked up by The New York Times, the New York Post, The Daily Beast, Business Insider, Gothamist, PIX11, Curbed, the Queens Chronicle and the Queens Daily Eagle.
She previously worked at Bloomberg News as a researcher. And she interned at the Columbus Dispatch and the Miami Herald.
Kaufman holds a bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College and a master’s degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
