Crain's names editor for new British paper

Steve Brauner, editor of the North West Evening Mail in Barrow, will be the editor of the new Crain’s Manchester Business weekly newspaper launching in December, according to the How-Do web site.

A story on the web site stated, “Publisher Arthur Porter told How-Do that they are planning two editions in December starting on 3 December, a further two editions in January and then weekly from February.

“The paper will initially be controlled/free but intends to move as soon as possible to paid-for. Initial circulation is likely to be between 10,000 to 15,000.

“Porter told How-Do that eight staff have now been recruited and a further 10 are being recruited.”
