About 110 people attended Crain’s Notable LGBTQ Executives list on August 15th, the second event of its kind. The two-hour reception offered an opportunity to network, and there were also cooking demonstrations offered.
This year’s list celebrates 84 leaders at both businesses and nonprofits. Crain’s Chicago Business editor Ann Dwyer was in attendance and offered some brief remarks. She stated:
“The one thing that I can tell you, from my heart, since we started doing these notables for LGBTQ executives in Chicago last year, is the enthusiasm is amazing, more so than any other category of notables that we organize. It’s very clear that this community wants to be recognized, wants to be seen and wants to be acknowledged, and we’re really proud to be able to do that tonight and throughout the year.”
