Crain’s Detroit Business finance and technology reporter Tom Henderson is among seven inductees selected for the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame, which is run by Michigan State University.
Henderson has many achievements under his belt and continues working in monthly Crain’s Michigan Business sections focused on entrepreneurship and economic development throughout the state. He has also led coverage of Michigan’s venture capital industry in the 1990s and 2000s.
Additionally, he also reported on the Detroit Red Wings for the Detroit Free Press and has worked for The Detroit News and Michigan Runner magazine. He was with Runner’s World Magazine for 20 years and has authored five true crime books for St. Martin’s Press.

The inductees will be honored at a ceremony in the fall. The ceremony can be either virtual or in-person, a decision that will be made by June 1, according to the Hall of Fame.
