Crain’s Detroit launches sports business newsletter

Crain’s Detroit Business is launching a free weekly sports business e-newsletter that will be delivered every Monday afternoon.

A story on its website states, “Crain’s sports business reporter Bill Shea will provide exclusive content for every newsletter, along with the past week’s sports business news from Crain’s and other sources.

“For the past eight years, Shea has written about enormous player contracts — Miggy’s Millions! — along with providing inside detail on the new Red Wings arena project, the sale of the Detroit Pistons, various tech upgrades at the sports venues, media rights deals, player payrolls, collective bargaining agreements, hirings and firings, marketing and promotions trends, ticket technology and prices changes, sports news media developments, unique ballpark foods and much more.

“He’ll also provide his unique perspective on sports business in his blog.”
