Couch joins from the State Bar of Michigan where she was director of communications. She has also worked at the Chicago Tribune for 6 years, serving as digital news editor and then as director of audience.
Before that, she was regional digital producer at Gannett/Lansing State Journal.
Couch is a M.A. in international journalism from City University of London.
